Cleaning the wheel
Your pottery wheel will be cleaned with disinfectant before you collect.
Pottery Wheel Hire requires that the equipment is thoroughly cleaned after each use. To do this, any slurry or clay should be completely cleared. Then, the wheel should be wiped with clean cloths to remove any clay residue. Additionally, the drainage hole must be cleared and all drips down the body of the wheel should be wiped up. For added convenience, contactless drop off or delivery within the Blue Mountains Local Government Area (LGA) can be arranged for a $40 fee.
Pickup up requires TWO people to be able to lift the wheel as it is awkward and heavy on one end. The wheel is on a dolly to make it easy to move around.
You will need to bring another person to assist you loading it to your car.
Foundation Course
I have loved learning how to work with clay at Sharron's Foundation Skills short course. She is so approachable and friendly, always willing to share her expertise and skills. and always encouraging. - Delsie
