The TakeAway Clay kits offer an all in one service. You can select a glaze - misfire clay kit for functional ceramics which includes Kiln firing and glazing service, these can be dropped off to our studio for completion. Or The Air-dry clay kit can be used for decorative or sculptural pieces. You can have your pieces fired at any local kiln at a later stage if required or just coat with acrylic paint and seal with varnish to waterproof your pieces. No need to fire or glaze, just create and admire.
If you change your mind with your Air-dry clay kit these pieces can be fired at any kiln hire service across Australia. If you are not sure which way you want to go, AIRDRY is a great starting point for any kit at and if you decide to fire and glaze it later, you can contact my studio for the cost of firing and glazing or a local pottery studio closer to your home - no problem!

TakeAway Clay Kits really do take you to another place. Clay is such a mindful and mediative medium. Clay encourages reconnection with the earth, it is grounding and just fun.
Clay kits are ideal for online zoom gatherings, home learning activities, family fun nights, self-care activities, birthday gifts for friends, family & children.

- Bisque and Glaze firing for the Everyday kit 2-4 pieces
- Bisque and Glaze firing for the Family kit 4-6 pieces
Firing and Glazing:
- Carve your name on the base if EACH of your clay creations,
Drop off your pieces for firing and glazing with your Bisque ticket and selected glaze colours if you purchased a glaze and fire kit.
Be sure to carefully wrap you pieces as you transport them to the studio, they become more fragile as they dry. The studio will contact you when they are ready for pickup or if you need them shipped this can also be arranged.
